The activity lactate dehydrogenase in the artificial bladder (experimental study)

SUMMARY

The main treatment for invasive bladder cancer is radical cystectomy, surgical treatment involving the removal of the bladder and the formation of an orthotopic reservoir from the terminal section of the ileum. The process of studying changes of structural and functional character in the wall of artificial bladder has been going on for the last twenty years. The aim was to study the histochemically revealed activity of lactate dehydrogenase in the wall of artificial bladder in experimental animals. The material of the study was the results obtained from the 18-female mini-pigs. The modeling of the artificial bladder in experimental animals was performed by cystectomy and subsequent ileo-cystoplasty. The formation of artificial bladder from the ileum, the implementation of a new function and contact with urine led to a decrease in LDH activity in all structures of the neobladder at different stages of the experiment. It should be noted inhibition of LDH activity by 59.3% in the submucosa at12 month of experiment.
