The leading scientist and highly qualified specialist in the field of urology, known as an organizer and leader in a new direction in urology – developments in oncourology, notably diagnostics and treatment of prostatic cancer of patients with pre-cancer and various forms of cancer of urinary bladder in Ukraine. S.O.Vozianov has developed and implemented into clinical practice new forms and methods of treatment and diagnostics of diseases of kidneys, urolithiasis, percutaneous puncture of renal cysts.
Under the guidance of S.O.Vozianov there started the wide implementation and popularization of methods of laparoscopic, endoscopic and low invasive treatment; numerous affective and practical exercises conferences, master classes on the less-invasive methods of treatment are carried out with participation of foreign specialists; annual urologic weeks and international schools of urologists under the aegis of European Urologic Association are performed.
He is the author of 315 scientific publications, 41 books (monographs, textbooks, manuals and reference books), 44 patents, has trained 6 Doctors and 27 Candidates of Medical Sciences.
Vozianov S.O. is the Chairman of the specialized Academic Council of the SI “Institute of Urology of NAMS”, of specialized Academic Council for conferment of scientific degrees of Doctors and Candidates of Medical Sciences on specialty “urology” of SI “Institute of Urology of NAMS”, the Head of interdepartmental problem commission on specialty “urology”, President of Ukrainian Urology Association, Member of European Association of Urologists and International Urological Society, a member of the editorial boards of a number of leading professional journals. He was awarded the Honorary Diplomas of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2011, 2015).
