Ways of improvement of diagnostic and treatment of patients with chronic bacterial prostatitis

SUMMARY

We examined65 patients, whichwere e divided into groups: 1 group (n=40) patients with chronic bacterial prostatitis aged from 18 to 50 years; 2 group (n=25), which is a control group of the same age. First group of patients received in complex treatment flavonoid kvercitin 2 g twice a day s zinc sulfate 1 tablet per day within a month.

Found that in patients with chronic bacterial prostatitis occurs oxidative activation, shown a significant increase in the level of oxidation-modified proteins. However, in all patients antioxidant defense weakened, which demonstrates a significant reduction in enzyme activity of superoxide dismutase and especially catalase. After treatment we indicated the tendency to significantly decrease of oxidation-modified proteins in our patients compared to the original level, which shows the antioxidant features of proposed medications. Also usage of proposed scheme of treatment led to improvement of functional capacity of antioxidant system.
